What is Brow Lamination?

Eyebrow lamination, also referred to as brow sculpt or brow lift, is a beauty process that restructures your eyebrow hairs, ensuring that they all go in the same direction. In other words, it’s like a perm for your eyebrows, helping to make your brow hair stay straight and brushed up.

How long does a Brow Lamination last?

4 to 6 weeks generally. Depending on how well you look after your brows, it can last up to eight weeks. After the four to six-week period, it’s recommended that you get your brows re-laminated in order to maintain the look over a longer period of time.away from heat (dishes and hot baths/showers) for 24 hours after service.

Is Brow Lamination better than Permanent Make up?

Eyebrow lamination is ideal for people who have existing brown hair and want to improve their brow shape and fullness. Brow lamination lasts around 6-8 weeks so it’s perfect for anyone who might want to avoid fully committing to a Permanent make up which can last 2+ years.

What is a Lash Lift?

A lash lift curls your lash from base to tip so that you can see the full lengh giving the appearance of fuller, longer lashes. Your eyes are closed through the whole process so you can relax while having this treatment done.

How long does a Lash Lift last?

The results typically last four to six weeks, depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow. You should avoid mascara for 48 hours after the treatment, and leave lashes untouched for a full day. No makeup, or water should come in contact with your lashes for 24 hours to ensure the lift correctly sets into shape.

How long do these treatments take to do?

Brow Lamination – 45 mins to 1 hour

Lash Lift – 50 mins to 1 hour

Brow/Lash Contraindications-

✘ Positive reaction to a patch or sensitivity test (allergy).

✘ Cysts (A cyst is a lump of the upper or lower eyelid caused by obstruction and inflammation of an oil gland of the eyelid – also known as a meibomian, tarsal ore granuloma cyst

✘ Styes (a small collection of puss/abscess on the eyelid)

✘ Blepharitis (an ocular condition characterised by chronic inflammation of the eyelid), Blepharitis is a lifelong condition

✘ Chemotherapy (cancer treatment)

✘ Skin Disease, skin trauma, cuts, abrasions, burns and swelling in the immediate area

✘ Weak eyelashes at therapist discretion on consultation (from over styling or product use)

✘ Skin Disorders in the general eye area (Dermatitis, Xanthelasma & Syringoma)

✘ Eye infections such as Impetigo or Conjunctivitis

✘ Eye inflammation such as Uveitis

✘ Recent operations around eyes, head or face or scar tissue in immediate areas

✘ Watery eyes

✘ Hypersensitive skin/eyes

✘ Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea of the eye)

✘ Alopecia (loss of hair)

✘ Trichotillomania (classified as an impulse control disorder and is the compulsive urge to pull out one’s own hair

✘ Bells Palsy or any condition that makes closing or opening eyes difficult

✘ Any disease/disorder that causes shaking, twitching or erratic movement

Precautions-

❗Dry eye syndrome

❗ Glaucoma

❗Claustrophobia – client is required to not open eyes during treatment

❗Hayfever/Rhinitis – eyes may be watery

❗ Contact lenses – ensure removal before procedure
